Every December, teamLab Planets introduces a unique evolution of its iconic installations. For 2025, the Winter Program expands the experience with new illumination, seasonal digital environments, and exclusive winter-only scenography available only during this period.

Mission:
The mission of the Special December Winter Program is to deepen the emotional connection between visitors and digital art through seasonal transformation. teamLab aims to show how technology and nature can coexist and evolve together, emphasizing the fluidity of time, environment, and perception. By integrating winter landscapes, shifting florals, and reflective lighting, the exhibition encourages visitors to reconsider their physical relationship to digital environments and to rediscover the museum’s iconic rooms through the subtle yet powerful influence of the winter season.

teamLab Planets Tokyo is located in Toyosu, a modern waterfront district with excellent public transport connections.
• By Metro: Tokyo Metro Yurakucho Line to Toyosu Station, Exit 6 (5-minute walk).
• By Bus: Toei Bus services run regularly from central Tokyo to Toyosu.
• By Car/Taxi: The venue is easily accessible, though holiday season traffic may cause delays.
• From Haneda Airport: Around 25–35 minutes by taxi or Keikyu Line + metro transfer.
The area offers cafés, shopping centers, and waterfront promenades, making it ideal for combining the visit with dining or exploring the Toyosu neighborhood.

While teamLab Planets is a permanent museum, its December seasonal programs began as an experiment in 2020 and quickly grew into an annual highlight. The winter modifications originally focused on minor lighting adjustments, but by 2023–2024 the concept expanded into full-room transformations, including winter florals, reflective snow-inspired particle simulations, and outdoor illumination installations.
By 2025, the December Winter Program evolved into a distinct annual tradition, known for being the most atmospheric, contemplative, and emotionally layered version of the teamLab experience. Many international visitors now plan their Tokyo trips specifically around this seasonal edition.
