At MALBA Puertos, Mariano Ullua transforms drawing into something that no longer requires paper.
Presencia Inquieta fills the Salas del Bosque with thin wire forms that seem to float, tremble, and sketch themselves directly into the surrounding air. Birds, fishermen, playing cards, and fragments of everyday life emerge as delicate sculptural silhouettes, turning familiar objects into unexpected apparitions.
Running until February 28, 2027, the exhibition offers a quieter and more intimate counterpoint to the large museum surveys often associated with the international art calendar. Its power lies not in monumental scale, but in the strange transformation of everyday things.
