Asia Pacific Triennial 2026 comes to London through Rising Voices: Contemporary Art from Asia, Australia and the Pacific, a major exhibition at the Victoria and Albert Museum. Presented from 16 May 2026 to 10 January 2027, the exhibition is a landmark collaboration between the V&A and Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art in Brisbane.
Rising Voices presents more than 70 artworks by over 40 artists from approximately 25 countries. Sculpture, photography, painting, ceramics, weaving, installations and body adornment reveal the extraordinary diversity of contemporary artistic practice across Asia, Australia and the Pacific.
Many of the works have rarely or never been exhibited outside their home region. The exhibition gives London audiences access to artistic histories, materials and cultural perspectives that remain underrepresented in many European museum programmes.
Although Rising Voices is closely connected to the Asia Pacific Triennial, it is not a new numbered Brisbane edition. Instead, it presents highlights drawn from more than three decades of the Triennial and QAGOMA’s collection.
