Event Overview
A curated series of contemporary art exhibitions presented across Sydney during the summer season.
Sydney Contemporary’s Summer Program 2025 offers an extended continuation of the city’s leading contemporary art fair, activating galleries and cultural institutions throughout December. The program highlights new exhibitions, artist projects, curated showcases, and cross-institutional collaborations that reflect the depth and diversity of Australia’s contemporary art scene. Although the Sydney Contemporary art fair takes place biennially in September, the Summer Program was established to maintain year-round engagement with the city’s cultural ecosystem. Over time, it has evolved into a recognized platform that bridges the gap between fair editions and strengthens collaboration between galleries, institutions, and independent spaces.
The December program highlights the variety of contemporary artistic voices present in Australia today, expanding the visibility of regional perspectives and connecting Sydney with the broader Asia-Pacific cultural community.
