Sydney Contemporary 2026 takes place from 3 to 6 September at Carriageworks, with an invitation-only Collector Preview on 2 September.
The 10th edition brings together more than 100 galleries and exhibitors presenting works by over 500 artists from 33 countries. It is recognised as Australasia’s leading contemporary art fair and one of the region’s largest gatherings of galleries, collectors, artists, curators and cultural institutions.
Visitors can expect thousands of artworks across painting, sculpture, photography, drawing, printmaking, mixed media and installation. The gallery presentations are accompanied by ambitious performances, large-scale projects, artist talks and panel discussions.
Every artwork presented by the participating galleries is available for purchase. The fair offers options ranging from accessible editions and works on paper to major installations and museum-scale pieces.
For ArtExpoWorld readers, Sydney Contemporary 2026 provides one of the strongest opportunities to understand the contemporary art market in Australia, New Zealand and the wider Asia-Pacific region.
