LACMA has been a leading American institution for Korean art since establishing its dedicated department in 2007. The museum holds one of the most significant Korean art collections outside Korea, including ceramics, metalwork, painting and decorative arts. Over the years, LACMA has produced several seminal exhibitions that broaden public understanding of Korean culture.
The 2025 exhibition builds on this legacy, presenting both historical masterpieces and emerging contemporary voices within a unified curatorial framework.
