This winter, the museum presents a series of exhibitions that draw connections between Peggy Guggenheim’s legendary modernist collection and the work of contemporary artists responding to similar themes through new mediums. Visitors can expect bold contrasts between canonical works by Pollock, Magritte, Rothko, Ernst, and Calder and the parallel vision of emerging or mid-career artists who reinterpret the emotional and philosophical core of modernism for today’s world.
