A developing artistic practice needs more than a label announcing its arrival. It needs works through which a visitor can understand what is being attempted and a gallery willing to give those attempts continuity. JUSTMAD returns to Palacio Neptuno on 4–7 March 2027 for its eighteenth edition, offering a concentrated setting within Madrid’s busy art week.

The fair’s interest lies in the proposals galleries assemble around contemporary and emerging practices. A presentation can reveal an artist through a small group of related decisions, allowing differences between works to become as important as their shared subject. That is a useful reason to stop, ask questions and look again after seeing another stand.

The organiser identifies Óscar García García as director and describes a platform connecting galleries and artistic audiences across Europe and the Americas. The final 2027 gallery roster, participant total, and complete activity schedule have not yet been published in the current information reviewed. Earlier exhibitors should be regarded as an edition archive rather than a returning lineup.

The 2026 record provides specific context. Its JUST Latam section included Carmen Araujo Arte from Caracas, JAT Arts from Lima, Julia Baitalá from Buenos Aires, and Matices Art Gallery from Asunción. These examples illustrate the previous programme’s regional connections without confirming a place for any of those spaces in 2027.

That archive also distinguishes general gallery presentations, JUST Solo, institutional activity, publishing, and off-site projects. The next edition’s own list must establish which structures return. A visitor can use the earlier record to formulate questions, then let the new selection provide the actual evidence.

JUSTMAD 2027 Event Overview

JUSTMAD 2027: Dates, Tickets & Visitor Guide

Dates:

4 March 2027 - 7 March 2027

Location:

Palacio Neptuno, Calle de Cervantes 42, 28014 Madrid, Spain. The street address indicates the fair venue; nearby cultural institutions and other art-week fairs have separate entrances. Please confirm the event entrance and any registration instructions with the chosen session.

Mission:

JUSTMAD supports contemporary and emerging art through a fair with international gallery relationships. Its most useful contribution is to make a practice legible through the people and programmes that sustain it. The term «emerging» describes a changing position within that system; it does not supply a single style or guarantee a lower artwork price.

Organizer:

Too Many Friends & Art Fairs, the Spanish company behind JUSTMAD and a wider group of cultural events. García García is identified as the fair’s director. The company’s other fairs retain their own dates, programmes and access arrangements.

Why attend to JUSTMAD 2027?

A gallery-led presentation can give a developing practice enough space to establish its own logic. Look at how a motif changes between works, whether a material choice remains necessary, and what the presentation leaves unresolved. A work becomes interesting through those decisions before the artist’s career description enters the conversation.

The relationship between European and Latin American programmes also provides a substantive point of enquiry. Ask which histories and exchanges a gallery’s selection makes visible. An artist’s country or city is useful information, but it becomes richer when connected to particular exhibitions, methods, and communities of practice.

Ticket Information

General admission costs

The current 2027 page states that ticket information and prices will be available soon. A confirmed admission range, concessions, and preview eligibility have not yet been determined for this edition. Please use the enquiry form on this page to request the appropriate session once details are available. Do not apply 2026 prices to a new booking.

Getting There:

The organiser lists Antón Martín and Estación del Arte on metro line 1, and Banco de España on line 2. Bus options include services along Paseo del Prado and Carrera de San Jerónimo. Compare the final walk from the chosen stop with the actual entrance rather than choosing solely by station name.

For a larger international comparison during the same period, ARCOmadrid 2027 runs at IFEMA on 3–7 March. Its scale and selection differ from the Palacio Neptuno encounter. Check the public timetable for each fair and allow a real transfer between central Madrid and IFEMA rather than combining them as neighbouring rooms.

Accommodation

A central base can suit Palacio Neptuno and several nearby cultural appointments. An itinerary built around IFEMA may favour a different balance. Decide which event anchors the day, then place other visits around the time they actually need. The longest list of bookings rarely leaves the most room for discovery.

If access requirements affect the journey, ask about the precise route through the building and the facilities available during the fair. A historic venue and a temporary exhibition layout should be checked together. Leave enough time for the arrival process before an appointment with a gallery.

History & Context of a JUSTMAD 2027

Our JUSTMAD 2026 archive records the previous edition at Palacio Neptuno. The organiser’s current history places the eighteenth edition within a broader programme developed since 2009. Other projects in Lisbon, Mallorca, and the Americas belong to that network, while Madrid maintains its distinct annual setting and selection.

What Has Changed Since 2026

The fair’s dates shift from 5–8 March 2026 to 4–7 March 2027. The venue remains Palacio Neptuno, but a confirmed new roster and programme are needed before claiming further artistic or numerical changes. A gallery’s prior presence is context, not proof of its return.

Interesting Fact

JUSTMAD’s 2026 archive includes Nórdica Libros in a dedicated publishing category alongside gallery sections. A publisher holds a different position within the fair: an artist’s work can circulate through pages and reproductions long after the temporary display has disappeared. The publication may also preserve the sequence or research that a single exhibited object cannot convey alone.

That detail suggests a useful kind of question for the next visit. Ask what record exists beyond the stand: a catalogue, a commissioned text, a book, or a documented exhibition. Such material can reveal whether the gallery’s argument has been developed over time. Its presence in 2026 does not, however, confirm the same publishing participant for 2027.

Tips for Visitors of JUSTMAD 2027

Choose a practice to investigate across several works rather than collecting isolated highlights. Record the title, date, medium and presenting gallery together. If a work is editioned, ask how the edition is defined; if a presentation uses a particular installation, ask what belongs to the artwork and what belongs to the temporary display.

Tips from the ArtExpoWorld

Our international art fairs in March 2027 comparison places Madrid within a month containing several different exhibition models. Use it to choose the kind of encounter you want, then give the selected fair enough time to develop its own argument. A regional or international itinerary should follow an artistic enquiry rather than replace one.

Editor’s Note

We would approach JUSTMAD through the precision of the gallery proposal. The most convincing presentation of an emerging practice allows uncertainty to remain visible: a series is still testing its method, an image changes meaning between works, or a material refuses the first explanation offered for it. Those qualities can be more revealing than a polished claim about discovering the next important artist.

The Latin American relationships documented in the previous programme make that enquiry especially worthwhile. We are interested in how a gallery sustains a practice across different contexts, and in what becomes clearer or more difficult when the work is introduced in Madrid. Geography should open those questions rather than settle them.

JUSTMAD earns a place in the week when the smaller encounter changes the visitor’s judgement. A precise group of works can remain more vividly in mind than a much larger selection seen too quickly. Our recommendation is to give the fair enough attention for one presentation to become a practice worth following beyond March.
