Handmade Oxford, launched in
2014, began as a grassroots initiative to revive Oxford’s rich heritage of craftsmanship and counterbalance the city’s academic reputation with a celebration of tangible, handmade creativity. Founded by
Angela Moore, a champion of British artisans, the fair started with just
50 local makers in Oxford Town Hall. Over a decade, it has grown into one of the UK’s most respected contemporary craft fairs.
